In short: Blattgold is a private, free hobby project. There are no cookies, no accounts, no ads and no services from Google, social networks or ad networks. Your save stays in your browser. Anonymous visitor statistics on our own server count visits and playing time without recognising you.
Controller
The controller is the private operator of this website.
Hosting
The website and the game run on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) in a data centre in Nuremberg, Germany. When you visit, the server briefly processes the technically necessary connection data (IP address, time, requested file, browser identification) to deliver the page. No access logs with this data are kept. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in offering a secure, working website.
Visitor statistics (Umami)
To see how many people visit and how long they play, the statistics software Umami runs on the same server. The data never leaves the server and is not shared with anyone.
- Recorded: the page visited, the page you came from, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and the country or region (derived from the IP address). In the game also: how long loading took and whether there was a loading error, the game start (new or continued game), one message per minute played (with level, number of plants and sales in that minute) and progress: level-ups, achievements, newly discovered species and mutations, expansions, expeditions, story chapters, language changes and copying or loading a save code (only that it happened, not the code itself).
- Not stored: your IP address and anything that identifies you personally. Umami sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. To count visits, an anonymous identifier is calculated from the IP address and browser data, and it changes regularly.
- If your browser sends “Do Not Track”, nothing is counted.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in improving the game with anonymous numbers. The entries are kept as long as they are needed for the statistics.
Storage in your browser
The game keeps your save, your settings and your chosen language in your browser's storage (localStorage). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted. It is needed so that you can keep playing (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). The save code is also created only in your browser. You can delete everything by clearing the site data of succulenttent.store in your browser.
Fonts, images and videos
The font (Fredoka), all images and all videos are loaded from our own server. No content from other providers is embedded.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Because the statistics store nothing that identifies you, they usually contain no data that can be linked to you. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
